Different Techniques I Like

There are several different techniques that I personally enjoy using.

High Dynamic Range

When I was studying photography, I fell in love with High Dynamic Range (HDR). This is a process in which you take multiple exposures of the same scene and blend them together to create one image.

Looking at the images on the internet, really does not do them justice. With the visual limitations of both monitors and the web, really can't see all the details and color in this image.

The human eye can distinguish between light and shadow. If you have ever taken a picture where you have details, but the sky is a all white, or you have blue sky and everything else is dark, HDR is the way to fix that.

By blending multiple exposures you can see the details in the shadows, but you don't have a sky that is all white.

I personally use Photomatix Pro to blend. It has a lot more versatility than Photoshop.
